What do the marker switches do?
The marker switches have a couple of purposes. One, is, if you mark each switch, another location will appear in the map at the library on Myst. On the map, point the red line at the location you want help on and go up to the tower (see Tower Rotation). But later in the game, you flip all of them on, and when you flip the right one back off (must be the only one) you will get the white Myst page Atrus wants so very much.
